10-02-2017 INFORMATION SOUGHT IN CELL PHONE THEFT

Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in the theft of a cell phone.
At approximately 5:24 p.m., on Sunday, October 1, 2017, the victim left her cell phone on the front counter while paying for items at the Kathleen Food Mart located at 6403 Kathleen Road in Lakeland. A white or Hispanic male picked up the victim’s phone and placed it in his pocket.
The suspect is described as being 45 to 55 years of age, approximately 5’8” in height, wearing a dark ball cap, blue jeans, and a maroon shirt. He fled in an older model green minivan in an unknown direction on Kathleen Road.
